Comedian Jim Gaffigan taunted his fellow Democratic Party elites at the annual Al Smith Dinner in New York, saying party leaders had staged a coup against Joe Biden and undemocratically threatened Kamala. – mocked former President Donald Trump's branding of Harris as a threat to democracy when he nominated her.
Jim Gaffigan criticized Democratic hypocrisy during a comedy set at a Catholic Charities event Thursday.
Mr. Gaffigan is a devout Catholic and has spoken publicly about his faith. His parish is St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in Lower Manhattan.
Kamala Harris skipped the entire primary process and was chosen as the party's nominee this summer despite not receiving a single vote. Nevertheless, she repeatedly called President Trump a “threat to democracy.”
President Trump also took to the stage on Thursday to taunt his political opponents and slam Harris for refusing to attend a charity dinner.
“If he really wanted Vice President Harris to accept the invitation, I think he should have told her that the money was meant to help the looters and rioters in Minneapolis,” Trump said. We would have been guaranteed a stay there.”
He was referring to Harris' public support of the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a bail-fund activist group that helped free five convicted domestic abusers and a suspected molester.
