Crockett Calls for Democrats to Challenge Trump

On Monday, Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) expressed that Democrats should pursue President Donald Trump “for the benefit of the whole country.”

During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Trump remarked, “I’ve seen Democrats and they’re totally confused, they have a new person named Crockett. I caught her speaking recently, and she claimed she’s definitely the future of the party.”

Crockett responded, stating, “The fact that the president you just spoke with doesn’t even remember the oath he took on January 20th tells me everything I need to know. He lacked clarity during that same interview.”

Host Jake Tupper asked, “Do you see yourself as part of the Democratic future?”

Crockett replied, “I’m not sure if I am the Democratic future, but we definitely need people who are ready to engage with this administration for the good of the country.”

She further noted, “I want to ensure that we are highlighting all the darkness this administration is bringing to our nation right now.”
