Democrats wasted no time showing their true colors after the election: “They’re saying the things they usually keep quiet about out loud”

Democrats campaigned on lowering costs and improving health care. Now that the votes have been counted, conservative commentator Sara Gonzales argues that their actions suggest other priorities are taking center stage.

Gonzales said Democrats had presented themselves as focused on affordability and helping working families, but she believes they are already signaling a different agenda. She described the coming years under Democratic leadership as a preview of what she called “communist Democrat rule.”

In her view, Democrats’ main goal is to target President Trump and those around him. Gonzales said she had warned that they were openly discussing using the courts against their political opponents.

Rep. Robert Garcia, who is expected to become chairman of the House Oversight Committee, posted “lawyer up” on X. Sen. Ron Wyden also called for subpoenas, while California Gov. Gavin Newsom wrote that Trump’s alleged corruption should be exposed and those responsible held accountable.

Gonzales said the posts made her question whether Democrats were truly focused on lowering costs and fixing health care. She suggested that power and control, rather than those campaign promises, may be their real priorities.

She also criticized what she sees as a renewed emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion. Rep. Ro Khanna celebrated the prospect of several historic political milestones, including the election of Black governors, Texas’ first Latina governor, the first Muslim American senator and the first openly gay senator.

Gonzales mocked the focus on politicians’ identities and personal lives, calling Khanna’s remarks a ridiculous way to govern. She said she expects that kind of emphasis to return.
