Appearing on Fox Business Network’s “Morning with Maria” on Wednesday, Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) discussed how Democrats plan to strengthen their chances of retaining control of Congress. I explained what was going on.
Tennessee Republicans say Democrats will gain an advantage over Republicans by allowing illegal immigrants to move into blue states with declining populations and counting them in the next census.
“I think it all comes down to being able to get all the Democrats on the record. I introduced a bill three weeks ago proposing to disallow illegal immigrants from being included in the census. Because now these illegal immigrants are being used to allocate seats in Congress and even electoral votes. If you look at the number of people who have flowed into our country under the Joe Biden administration. That’s 13 seats, Maria seats, and that’s a lot more Congress, which means a lot of electoral votes.”
“But will those people ultimately vote? Do they want to vote in a presidential election?” host Maria Bartiromo asked.
“Democrats will win anyway because they still hold Congressional power. States with declining populations, New York, Illinois, California, New York, Chicago, Illinois, Los Angeles, with sanctuary cities again; If you look at San Francisco, all it needs is people. In fact, the congressman from Brooklyn was in the same school district as James Madison High School, which sent children to house illegal immigrants. She broadcast And she said, we need illegal immigrants for redistricting. She doesn’t want to lose her district.”
“And she intends to resettle people who came illegally into her district,” he added. “[T]What he’s pointing out here is that they believe in so-called conspiracy theories. And they say this is basically a real conspiracy to inflate the votes of people in these blue districts, and the fact that it can dilute the vote in places like my state, where there aren’t that many illegal immigrants. We are confirming. Think about it, there are twice as many illegal immigrants in your district and twice as many voters. This is an opportunity for leverage in America. ”
