Demonstrates a Willingness to Mislead About Biden Until the Very End

James Clyburn’s Support for Joe Biden

Back in 2020, James Clyburn played a crucial role in Joe Biden’s campaign.

As a significant figure, especially among the African American community, Clyburn endorsed Biden right before South Carolina’s primary. At that moment, it appeared that Bernie Sanders had a strong lead following the New Hampshire and Iowa primaries.

However, Clyburn’s endorsement energized Black voters in South Carolina, allowing Biden to gain crucial momentum and eventually clinch the nomination.

Recently, Clyburn made another effort to support the former president just before the news of Biden’s cancer diagnosis surfaced. He went so far as to defend Biden’s ability to serve effectively as he ages.

During an interview, CNN’s Jake Tapper questioned if Biden could realistically fulfill a presidential term until January 2029, when he would be 86. Clyburn confidently responded, “Yes.” It’s an interesting take, considering the scrutiny Biden’s mental sharpness has faced over the years.

There’s certainly a sense of disbelief regarding Clyburn’s unwavering perspective on Biden’s health. It’s as if he’s ignoring the numerous missteps and gaffes that have surfaced, including awkward moments during interviews and debates.

Clyburn aggressively defended Biden during the interview, suggesting that if Biden had triumphed in the reelection against Trump, he and other Democrats would have perpetuated these narratives for another four years. It raises questions about the genuine state of their beliefs.
