Dems dialed up violent rhetoric against Trump with Hitler comparisons

Democrats’ rhetoric stoking fear and hatred towards former President Donald Trump, including repeated comparisons to Adolf Hitler, has been cast in harsh new light following Saturday’s assassination attempt on him.

Trump’s political opponents have long used inflammatory language in response to his controversial comments, generally portraying him as a cartoon villain hell-bent on bringing about the demise of democracy itself.

Their divisive rhetoric includes frequent use of words like “dictator” and open references to the Holocaust and Nazi Germany.

Republicans now blame this very rhetoric for inciting an assassination attempt on President Trump that left one heroic firefighter dead and two more seriously injured.

As former President Trump lay bleeding after being shot by a sniper on Saturday, Democrats are shining new light on past comments he made linking him to Hitler, sparking outrage.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), who is running to replace Sen. Mitch McConnell as Senate Majority Leader, I wrote to X“Democrats and liberals in the media are calling Trump a fascist. They’re likening him to Hitler. This is not just an unfortunate incident, it’s an assassination attempt by a madman inspired by far-left rhetoric.”

Last Monday, President Biden himself said in a private conference call with hundreds of Democratic donors that “it’s time to put Trump at the center of the target,” a statement that now seems like an in-your-face remark. Politico reported at that time.

The unfortunate language was reminiscent of comments made by New York Democratic Rep. Dan Goldman to former White House press secretary Jen Psaki in an MSNBC interview last November, when he said Trump should be “removed” over his alleged role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

“At this point, there is no question that this man should never be able to hold public office again. He is not only unfit, he is subversive of our democracy and must be removed,” the 10th District representative said.

Goldman then said, Post to XHe said he would not tolerate “political violence.”

The official account of the Biden-Harris headquarters Posted to X In December, under the headline “Trump Imitates Hitler,” it published a series of images showing photos of Trump and Hitler side-by-side with quotes from each, which the campaign claimed were similar.

Apparently likening the former president to the greatest monster in history has been a favorite pastime within the Biden administration.

It has been reported that young staff members, including Biden’s aides, have begun calling President Trump a “Hitler pig” behind closed doors.

In March, Rep. Vincente Gonzalez (D-Texas) faced strong criticism from Republicans. By comparison From Hispanic Trump supporters to Jews supporting Hitler.

“The rhetoric that we’re hearing from the Republican Party is shameful and demeaning to Latinos. And, you know, when I hear, ‘Latinos support Trump,’ to me it’s almost like hearing, ‘Jews support Hitler,’ you know?”

Hillary Clinton, Trump’s 2016 rival, Appearance on “The View” Last November, she warned that a Trump victory in 2024 “would mark the end of our country as we know it.”

“Hitler was duly elected. Someone with dictatorial, authoritarian tendencies would suddenly say, ‘OK, let’s stop this, let’s put these people in jail,’ and they usually didn’t communicate that in advance. Trump is telling us what he’s going to do,” she said. “Take him at his word.”

Comparisons to Hitler and other totalitarian dictators have been made since President Trump’s first term in office.

In some cases, the horrors of the Holocaust were subtly referenced without directly mentioning Hitler or Nazi Germany.

In June 2019, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez drew widespread condemnation for her flippant language when she accused the Trump administration of setting up “concentration camps” on the US-Mexico border.

Far-left “Squad” members also used the phrase “never again” as they condemned the methods of detaining illegal immigrants at the border that are often associated with the Holocaust.

She later defended her explicit language in a posted Q&A. politicsnowadays Instagram page.

“I don’t use these words lightly. I’m not using these words to throw bombs,” she said. “I use these words because an administration that creates concentration camps is exactly that. A president that creates concentration camps is a fascist, and that’s a very difficult thing to say.”
