Dems Fly Banners over Football Game Tying Trums to Project 2025

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced that it will display banners at college football games to connect former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), to Project 2025.

In a press release on Saturday, the Democratic National Committee Announced “J.D. Vance

Another banner with the message “Jump and Play! Defeat Trump + Project 2025” was also scheduled to be “raised” over a University of Wisconsin football game.

“Today, in the second week of the 2024 college football season, the Democratic National Committee flew planes over Michigan Stadium at the University of Michigan and Beaver Stadium at Penn State University with banner messages linking Donald Trump and J.D. Vance to their dangerous Project 2025 agenda. A banner will also be flown over Camp Randall Stadium at the University of Wisconsin later today to remind college students and football fans that voting for Trump is the same as losing the game because of his dangerous and extreme Project 2025 agenda,” the DNC said in a press release.

“It's college football Saturday and fans are ready to knock off their rivals and defeat Project 2025, which gives Trump unprecedented powers that would allow him to ban abortion nationwide, allow the government to monitor pregnancies and give tax cuts to billionaires,” Avi Rahman, deputy communications director for the Democratic National Committee, said in a statement.

Lerman explained that the Democratic National Convention is trying to reach out to voters in battleground states.

“These banners deliver a message that resonates with our fans and remind them that the most important election battles are still ahead in November,” Lerman added. “The contrast in this election couldn't be clearer, and we have a winning strategy: abandon Project 2025, resist at the finish line, and go the other way, 99 yards to a fairer, more equal America for all.”

At an event in Grand Rapids, Michigan in July, President Trump disparaged The Heritage Foundation's Project 2025, saying it was the brainchild of people “on the right.” According to of Washington Examiner.

Trump has previously stated He said he had “no idea who's behind it” and didn't agree with “some of the things they're saying.”

“I know nothing about Project 2025,” Trump said in a Truth Social post on July 5. “I have no idea who is behind it. I don't agree with some of the things they're saying and some of the things they're saying are totally ridiculous and gross. I wish them the best of luck in whatever they do, but I have no affiliation with them.”

While Trump has sought to distance himself from the Heritage Foundation policy brief, several Democrats, including a former secretary of state, have Hillary Clinton President Joe Biden Tried To tie Trump to Project 2025.
