Tina Smith (D-MN) said, “We’re no longer going to be a country building things, and that’s what we’re doing.” And, “If Democrats are just defending the status quo and we don’t understand how we can make things different and better, we won’t be in a place where we can get back our majority in the Senate.
After host Bill Maher said it would take 29 years to build another mine for American rare earth minerals, Smith said:
She said, “This is just a Democrats defend the status quo, and if we don’t understand how we can do things differently, then we won’t be in a place where we can get back the majority of the Senate. Cost is a strategy we should work on. It’s at the local level, but at the federal level, we should want to have a clean energy economy.
