Dennis Richards Seeks Eviction of Estranged Husband Due to Unpaid Rent

Dennis Richards has filed a legal request to evict her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, from their rental home in Los Angeles after discovering he hadn’t been paying rent. Court documents reveal that Richards is asking the court to allow her husband’s family to retrieve their belongings, including dogs, without violating a temporary restraining order currently in place.

Richards stated that although both she and Phypers are listed on the lease, they had believed he and his family would only be staying temporarily after moving in two years ago.

The 54-year-old, known for her role on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” was reportedly informed about the eviction notice served to Phypers, who is 52.

She claims Phypers indicated his family had left the property multiple times to return to Canada. Meanwhile, the landlords have reportedly struggled to reach Phypers regarding unpaid rent for the last six months.

Richards noted in her filing that the landlords are seeking to have Phypers vacate the property by August 23rd. She expressed concern about her personal belongings, saying she is worried about her dog and fears her possessions may have been harmed during the eviction process. “I feel as though my property has been damaged or even destroyed,” she stated, mentioning that things looked disturbing in the home.

It’s reported that Phypers and his family caused significant damage to the property. In her filing, Richards described finding the home in disarray with trash, unopened boxes, and even removed flooring.

“The state of the house shocked me,” Richards reflected, adding that she hadn’t lived there for over two years.

Representatives for Phypers did not respond immediately to requests for comment. Earlier this month, police were called when Richards visited the rental property to retrieve her dog.

Additionally, an audio recording linked to a 911 call revealed her expressing fear when visiting. Last month, Richards was granted a temporary restraining order against Phypers after alleging abuse during their marriage, which Phypers denied, stating he never abused her physically or emotionally.
