Denise Richards' separated husband Aaron Phypers rejects claims of abuse

Aaron Phypers has denied allegations of physical or emotional abuse against his estranged wife, Denise Richards. This follows her claims made in court documents while seeking a restraining order.

In these documents submitted on Wednesday, Richards accused Phypers of suffocating her, slapping her, and threatening her life during various incidents. Phypers responded to these shocking accusations, clarifying his stance in a statement: “I want to address the recent rumors and speculations regarding my relationship with Denise. Let me be clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused her.”

He acknowledged that every couple has challenges but firmly stated that the abuse allegations are completely false. “I have always tried to approach our marriage with love, patience, and respect,” he added, emphasizing a desire for privacy during their separation after six years of marriage.

Phypers also requested that the public and media avoid spreading what he termed “harmful and unfounded claims.” His representatives could not be reached for immediate comment, nor could those representing Richards.

Richards, who is 54, was granted a temporary restraining order against Phypers, 52, earlier this week. Her court filings contain serious allegations, claiming that Phypers often choked her and violently slammed her head against surfaces. Disturbingly, she also reported threats made by him regarding her safety if she ever reported his behavior to law enforcement.

Included in her filing was a photo documenting her injuries. Phypers initiated divorce proceedings earlier this month, citing irreconcilable differences stemming from events on July 4th.

According to Richards, during that altercation, Phypers became enraged upon learning they would have to move out of their home. She described a harrowing two-hour encounter where he aggressively confronted her, using harsh language and behaving erratically.
