Mike Johnston, Mayor of Denver on Tuesday, accused the immigrant attack at schools and hospitals.
“We don't want people to target schools, churches, and hospitals,” Johnston told the CNN Jake Tuppter in “The Lead.” “I think we are fundamentally infringing the public safety of the city if we go to the hospital and feel safe there or take children to school.”
President Trump's Emperor Tom Homan defended his plan in an interview broadcast on Sunday to dispatch immigration and customs execution (ICE) to school. This week, ABC News's Martha Raddatz told the Trump administration that it would no longer tell the immigration and customs (ICE) agents that would have to avoid delicate places, such as schools, hospitals, and churches.
“Which criminals are hidden in school? Junior high school, elementary school -Are you going to be in them?” Radazo asked.
“How many MS-13 members are 14 to 17 years old? Many of them,” said Homan.
“So, it's a threat of national security, the threat of public safety, and what you need to understand is the case, naming another organization or another law execution organization. He added to the school, the doctor's office, or the medical campus. “These criteria have no other agencies. These are sufficiently trained officers, many discretion, and in a delicate place, the supervision will be judged.”
Trump announced an immigration problem at the center of the 2024 presidential bidding and pledged a campaign trajectory to legally expel millions of people in the United States. His administration has taken multiple measures to immediately change immigrants and border policies.
“We will help you cooperate with the violent criminal,” said Johnston on Tuesday's CNN. “We are going to help protect churches, schools and hospitals.”
The hill reached out to the White House for comments.
