Deontay Wilder's shocking story of fatherhood needs to be heard to be believed

Deontay Wilder Reflects on Fatherhood Journey

Every father carries a memory, however faint, of the events that led him to parenthood. Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder’s story of becoming a father is one that stands out, both for him and for many others who hear it.

The Alabama fighter, who is the proud father of seven, recently shared his experiences in an interview with Piers Morgan on Uncensored. During their conversation, he captivated the audience with the tale of how he and the mother of his first child, daughter Nayeya, became parents in 2005.

What’s particularly interesting is how Wilder described the mother’s attempts to make him a parent.

Note: The following narrative might be graphic for some readers.

“She drained my cum inside her, ran to the bathroom and locked the door, and that’s how we did it,” he candidly shared, adding, “To be honest, she doesn’t even know that I know this.”

Morgan responded with amusement, saying, “Awesome.”

“I’m telling the world!” Wilder exclaimed, clearly enjoying the moment.

When Morgan followed up with a question about how Wilder came to this realization, the boxer emphasized his intelligence in the matter.

“I’m smart. You see, during our intimacy, when I climaxed, I would often wipe my ejaculation off her stomach with a towel. This time, she had made the choice to keep the baby because I was the best thing in her life.”

Wilder later mentioned, “I figured things out after reading her diary. She had no idea I had done that.”

“Meanwhile, I was quite frustrated, and I accidentally punched her in the stomach,” he continued, recounting how she reacted when he reached for a towel.

A few weeks later, he learned she was pregnant with his daughter.

In what turns into a more emotional narrative, Wilder revealed that the mother initially tried to terminate the pregnancy upon discovering their child would have spina bifida. This condition arises when the spine and spinal cord do not close properly during early development, leading to exposed nerves.

Wilder made it clear that he wouldn’t allow her to have an abortion because he believed the child deserved a chance at life. “I wanted the opportunity to care for a girl born with spina bifida, a child in need,” he added.

This heartfelt twist adds depth to his story, and it was ultimately the high medical expenses associated with his daughter’s condition that pushed Wilder to pursue boxing more seriously.

Currently, the American fighter is in the UK, preparing to face Derek Chisora in Manchester this weekend.
