Derek Stingley Jr. Gets Engaged to Annabella Campagna
It’s been quite an eventful week for Derek Stingley Jr., the Texans cornerback, and his girlfriend, Annabella Campagna.
The couple shared the exciting news of their engagement on Tuesday. In a heartfelt joint post on Instagram, they revealed that Stingley proposed during the team’s off week.
The caption read, “10.10.25 The most perfect day to say yes to forever.”
Stingley, who has been dating Campagna since 2023, chose a striking elongated diamond set on a gold band for the engagement ring.
Photos shared on Instagram captured the special moment of him getting down on one knee outdoors.
This announcement comes just weeks after the couple celebrated their second anniversary together.
Campagna, a graduate of Pace University, had earlier referred to Stingley in an Instagram post on September 9, saying, “In this life and the next, it will always be you. Happy anniversary.”
Last month marked Stingley’s fourth season with the Texans, who selected him third overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Stingley had an impressive performance in the 2024 season, making a career-high 35 solo tackles and five interceptions, equaling his record from 2023.
He was recognized with his first Pro Bowl and First Team All-Pro nominations and secured a hefty three-year contract extension worth over $89 million.
After starting the season with three losses, the Texans went into the bye week with a 2-3 record, having won their last two games against the Titans and Ravens.
In those five games, Stingley has achieved 10 solo tackles and one interception, as the team prepares for their upcoming prime-time matchup against the Seahawks.
