Florida Governor Ron DeSantis criticized President Biden for denying that he had declared March 31, the same day as this year’s Easter, as “Transgender Visibility Day.”
When asked about his official white house declaration, Mr. DeSantis suggested the president’s denials raised questions about who is running the White House, as Mr. Biden said “we have not done that.”
“Wait a minute, he said that didn’t happen, he said he didn’t do that,” DeSantis exclaimed during an appearance at the Greater Miami Expressway Authority on Monday. “This raises the question of whether he was not honest with the public or whether he really didn’t know what was going on.”
DeSantis went on to mention President Biden by name and ask who is actually running this country.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, the White House press secretary downplayed the president’s comments, noting that the president did not choose March 31 as Transgender Visibility Day.
The White House has issued the same proclamation every March 31st since Biden took office in 2021.
