After a week in which Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson was unable to control the offense, Stefanski said he has no plans to make any changes under center at this time.
“We're not changing quarterbacks,” he told reporters after the game. “We need to play better.
“We need to coach better and that's what really matters.”
That came after Stefanski appeared to be frustrated with Watson, who signed a five-year, $230 million contract with Cleveland in a 2022 trade, with the quarterback on the field in the third quarter. withdrew from.
Stefanski wanted to take a shot at No. 4, but Watson walked to the sideline as the clock ticked down, according to the FOX Sports broadcast.
Stefanski took off his headset and reacted with confusion as he watched Watson walk off the field.
“Oh my god, Kevin Stefanski must be sick,” said Greg Olsen, who answered the phone.

After the game, Watson told reporters that “the clock is ticking” and that the team needs to find a rhythm and figure things out quickly.
“At the end of the day, you have to continue to take what the defense is giving you.” Watson said When asked what he thought about Stefanski's belief in him and his decision to remain at the quarterback position.
“Whatever the coach decides, I'm happy. Like I said, we don't listen to the outside world, no matter what the outside world says. So what I can do is… All you have to do is worry about things you can control.”
Watson went on to explain that the Browns need reps and they need to find what they're really good at and perfect it.
The Browns (1-4) will face the Eagles (2-2) on Oct. 13 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
