An Arkansas airport executive who was shot and killed by federal agents during a raid on his home this week was accused of selling numerous unlicensed firearms, including firearms. used for crimesaid the authorities.

Brian, who was executive director of the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, according to a partially redacted affidavit filed by agents with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).・Mr. Malinowski (53) reportedly purchased over 150 bottles. Possessed a firearm from May 2021 to February 27, 2024, then resold it without a firearms license.

The affidavit states the weapons included two dozen Glock 45 9mm pistols and an AR-15 pistol.

ATF said six firearms allegedly sold by Malinowski were discovered after being linked to the crime. Another three of his guns were purchased from him by an undercover ATF agent at his gun show in Arkansas.

One of the guns mentioned in the documents was recovered from a 15-year-old Norteño gang member in California in 2022. The investigation began in November when a confidential informant contacted Canadian authorities and showed them a photo of a weapon with a visible serial number.

The owner of the firearm was identified as Malinowski.

Malinowski purchased the firearm legally and checked a box on the purchase form indicating the firearm was his. However, he allegedly resold weapons at gun shows as a vendor.

The weapons were ordered online and shipped to a company redacted in the affidavit, where they were scheduled to be picked up.

Agents said multiple cell phones and electronic devices contained evidence of Mr. Malinowski’s transactions with customers. Authorities also released images taken by an undercover ATF agent of Malinowski, who allegedly sold firearms at gun shows.

At one point, investigators installed a tracking device on Malinowski’s car and followed him for several days. No charges were filed against him.

In a statement released by their attorney Thursday, the Malinowski family said they had experienced a “tragedy that is indescribable and nearly impossible to understand.”

“In the worst case scenario, gun owner and gun enthusiast Brian Malinowski was accused of privately selling a gun to someone who did not have the legal right to purchase it,” the statement said. . “For now, we will wait for all the facts to emerge. In the meantime, we ask the public and the media to respect our privacy.”

ATF agents searched Malinowski’s home around 6 a.m. Tuesday, and Malinowski was wounded in a gunfight with authorities, officials said.

He passed away on Thursday, his brother previously told FOX News Digital.

“Even if the allegations in the affidavit are true, they do not justify what happened,” the family said in a statement.
