NFL 2026 Schedule Updates
The upcoming NFL schedule for 2026 is gradually making its way into the public eye ahead of the complete announcement on Thursday.
Week 1 is particularly heating up with excitement as the official schedule drops on Tuesday at 8 PM ET. The highlight? A Monday Night Football showdown between the Broncos and Chiefs, although we still don’t know where it’ll take place.
In some health news, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is on the mend from a torn ACL and is gearing up fast for this pivotal matchup.
The NFL season kicks off on Wednesday, September 9, with the reigning champion Seahawks set to celebrate their Super Bowl win. There’s even speculation about a rematch with the Patriots for the upcoming 2026 Super Bowl.
Following that, “Thursday Night Football” will showcase a game between the Rams and 49ers in Australia. This marks a special occasion, being the first NFL game to feature a touchdown down under.
Fans can catch this game airing on Netflix, which is set to stream various matchups throughout the season.
Also making headlines, the Giants have discovered their first opponent of the John Harbaugh era: the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium on “Sunday Night Football” on September 13.
This year, Big Blue aims to start strong, as they’re still chasing that elusive Week 1 victory—they haven’t had a win in that first week since 2022.
Looking ahead to Week 2, another interesting tidbit has come forward: the Lions are tasked with facing the Bills in a Thursday night game, and it’ll air on Amazon Prime. Notably, this game will debut at the Bills’ new Highmark Stadium.
