Devin Booker wants to save the Hooters.
Phoenix Suns Guard is pleading with the Hooters to not go in the wake of news that the iconic restaurant chain may be heading for bankruptcy.
Comments came just a day after Bloomberg reported that Hooters of America was negotiating with creditors to restructure its $300 million debt through Chapter 11 filing.
Following a 121-117 victory over the Chicago Bulls, where Booker contributed 29 points, eight assists and two steels, Booker appeared on X and posted a heartfelt plea.
His season average was 26 points and 6.7 assists, and Booker's message resonated with many of his early days.
He was clearly always a fan of famous chain restaurants.
Booker and Hooters said he was on May 9, 2012. Tweet“I'm thinking of Hooters as a blowjob tonight.”
That post preceded his time with the Suns and Kentucky Wildcats, who played since 2014-15 before his rookie season in the NBA.
Booker's love for the Hooters doesn't leave him on the island.
Influencer Paige Spiranac Tweet“Not my watch,” when faced with reports of possible, or at least downsizing, Hooters' pending death.
Hooters' potential bankruptcy has sparked concerns, but the chain isn't always good at this point.
Last year, around 40 locations were closed due to poor performance, but none of them were found in Arizona. Today, Hooters operates around 300 restaurants around the world.
According to Bloombergclosures are part of a strategic effort to reduce debt and adapt to changes in the restaurant market.
As for Booker, he has more important things than worrying in court.
His sun was 27-29 and is currently 11th in the Western Conference. This means that if today's season ends, they're off the play-in.
