NFC East Predictions: Dez Bryant’s Take on Super Bowl LX
The NFC East is gearing up for a challenging season, but that hasn’t stopped former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant from making a bold prediction. He believes that one of the teams from his division will clinch the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2026.
At FANATICS FEST, Bryant expressed confidence when he said, “That’s the division to watch. I think the Super Bowl will come out from the east this year.” His enthusiasm for the NFC East, especially his former team, is quite evident.
This past season, the Philadelphia Eagles showcased their strength by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 to lift the trophy in New Orleans. With the return of key players, including Saquon Barkley, the Eagles are projected to perform well again. Their continuity could be a big advantage moving forward, especially given their recent success.
Meanwhile, Bryant has remained a staunch supporter of the Cowboys, who are now under the new leadership of coach Brian Schottenheimer. After some recent trades, he thinks they have the potential to establish a formidable offense this year: “It opens a lot,” he remarked. “I don’t know that I won’t succeed at the same time as George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb. It’s going to create a lot of challenges for other teams.”
As training camp approaches, Bryant plans to visit Texas, eager to see how Schottenheimer shapes the team. He believes that seasoned NFL coaches often bring the right culture, particularly in their first year leading a team.
On a broader note, the NFC East also includes the Washington Commanders, who recently made headlines after rookie Jaden Daniels led them to their first NFC Championship game in decades, even though they lost to the Eagles. There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Washington with Daniels at the helm.
As for the New York Giants, Bryant is less optimistic. He candidly pointed out their struggles, saying, “They’re still at the bottom, sorry.” Despite their first-round pick Jaxson Smith-Njigba showing some potential, Bryant doesn’t seem too worried about them.
Looking forward, the NFC East will face off against other divisions, including the NFC North and AFC West. Bryant thinks the Giants might struggle, particularly if Russell Wilson is leading the charge at quarterback. Regardless, he holds high hopes for the Cowboys and sees opportunities for the other teams in the division to make a strong push.
