DHS Arrests Two Illegal Aliens in Disturbing Case
Officials from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have reported the arrests of two illegal aliens involved in the exploitation of a young girl in Texas. According to DHS, these individuals, among others recently apprehended, are among the most egregious offenders.
On July 17, Houston immigration and customs enforcement officers apprehended Pedro Trejo Reyes, a Mexican national. Reyes had a troubling history, having been convicted of driving while intoxicated in 1995, and, shockingly, in 2011, he was convicted of repeatedly assaulting a 12-year-old girl, resulting in her pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage.
The immigration court had ordered his removal in 2011. After serving a 16-year prison sentence, ICE officers arrested Reyes and deported him back to Mexico.
“While some in the media and certain politicians seem to defend illegal aliens who commit horrific crimes, the dedicated men and women of ICE are focused on removing the worst offenders from our country,” an official stated. “Today, ICE deported Pedro Trejo Reyes, who assaulted a vulnerable child and caused her to become pregnant.”
Reyes was not alone. Another suspect, Edwin Jacobo Hernandez Mateo from Honduras, was also arrested this week by an ICE agent. Hernandez has been charged with raping a minor under the age of 14 in Waller County, Texas, and is currently in ICE detention in Montgomery County.
Other individuals recently taken into custody include:
- Juan Gabriel Zamorono Gutierrez, a Mexican illegal alien, convicted of abusing a minor in Ontario, California.
- Edmundo Vazquez Guxiola, another Mexican illegal alien, found guilty of aggravated assault following multiple sexual assault accusations in York Springs, Pennsylvania.
- Kelvin Sybil, an illegal alien from Haiti, convicted for assault on a minor, battery of a police officer, and resisting arrest in Tanton, Massachusetts.
- Elmer Brev Sanchez, a Honduran illegal alien, convicted of conspiracy related to transporting illegal aliens to Del Rio, Texas.
