DHS Chief Kristi Noem Works on Hearing with GOP and Displeased Democrats

Budget Hearings on Immigration Policies Ahead

Homeland Security Director Christa Noem is set to address dissatisfied Democrats during the upcoming government budget hearings, scheduled for October 2025.

The hearings will occur at the House Budget Subcommittee on Homeland Security, where the focus will be on U.S. immigration policies, featuring seven Republicans and four Democrats.

Noem will outline the spending plans, while Democrats argue that the budgets from previous years do not align with President Donald Trump’s pro-American policies.

Interestingly, some Republicans, such as Rep. Andy Harris and Dan Newhouse, are also advocating for an increase in the number of low-cost workers, including renters sharing rooms and those reliant on taxpayer support.

Additionally, Rep. Tom Cole, a prominent figure in the Approximate Budget Committee, also backs the idea of bringing in foreign workers for nursing positions, suggesting that this could benefit younger Americans.

Consequently, the committee might be undervaluing the financial effects of large-scale migration on everyday American families.
