For quite some time, there have been suspicions about the Biden administration’s approach to border security, with many believing that the administration has allowed criminals to enter the United States due to lax policies. A recent report appears to confirm those suspicions, indicating that the administration deliberately chose to release convicted illegal immigrants back into the U.S.
In a significant revelation, journalist Breanna Morello—who hosts “The Breanna Morello Show”—shared documents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). These were obtained through a lawsuit and reveal the release of convicted sex offenders into the country. The chilling details show that the administration didn’t just overlook these offenders but actively facilitated their release.
Morello pointed out that the Biden administration justified this move based on a sudden regulatory change, claiming there wasn’t an administration policy against it. The documents illustrate procedures surrounding convicted sex offenders, requiring them to enroll in sex deviance counseling within two weeks of their release, as well as register as sex offenders in the U.S. within seven days.
There are additional layers of oversight mentioned in these documents, including checklists for supervisors to ensure the offenders complied with the rules, such as contacting victims and verifying their conditions upon release. It’s a lot to absorb, as Sarah, Morello’s co-host, noted during the discussion.
She expressed disbelief, remarking on how it seemed absurd that DHS would simply rely on offenders’ promises—essentially trusting them to behave. Morello confirmed that their expectation was that participation in counseling would somehow change these individuals into law-abiding citizens.
What’s perhaps even more alarming is that many of these offenders were cleared to fly domestically using DHS paperwork. Morello filed a Freedom of Information Act request to ascertain if illegal immigrants could board flights without standard ID during Biden’s tenure. After a lawsuit against the TSA, she received documentation proving that the TSA not only knew these individuals were previously convicted but also accepted their DHS documents for identity verification.
Despite initiating her lawsuit in 2024, she received the relevant documents only after the Trump administration took office and new FOIA officers addressed her request. Morello criticized the collaboration between DHS, ICE, and TSA, suggesting they have neglected their fundamental duty to protect American citizens.
Sarah summarized the situation starkly, addressing the potential risks to public safety posed by this policy. She brought up tragic cases like that of Lake Rayleigh Riley, raising questions about how many American lives were endangered by these policies.
