Diamondbacks mount 10-run inning — and still lose to Cubs

It’s not as crazy as Friday’s Diamondback Skews game.

Through six innings, the Cubs took a 2-1 lead in what appears to be a mid-April Hoham game at Wrigley Field.

Things then hit the fans.

Chicago dropped five spots at the bottom of the seventh inning and looked to be cleaning up the diamondback forever.

Arizona bouncing off, then halfway after, exploding on 10 runs during the rally at the top of the eighth innings to take an 11-7 lead.

The running barrage didn’t stop there.

The Cubs countered in a six-run rally at the bottom of the eighth innings to take a 13-11 lead.

The team combined seven home runs, including two grand slams, from bats by Eugenio Suarez and Ian Happ.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. also added a three-run home run in the eighth innings.

A total of 12 players had multiple hits in the game.

This was the first time both teams have scored more than 10 runs in the game this season.
