Diane Keaton: New information reveals her official cause of death

Actress Diane Keaton dies at age 79

Diane Keaton, who gained recognition for her roles in “The Godfather” and alongside Woody Allen in “Annie Hall,” has sadly passed away.

The cause of her death was confirmed as primary bacterial pneumonia, which she had reportedly been dealing with for several days before she died. Following her passing on October 11, she was cremated on October 14.

Keaton’s family released a heartfelt statement expressing gratitude for the support from fans during this difficult time. They mentioned her love for animals and encouraged donations to local food banks or animal shelters in her honor.

Keaton’s family shared, “We are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming messages of love we’ve received about our beloved Diane.”

She departed from this world at the age of 79 on October 11.

In an audio recording from 911 dispatch, it was noted that there was a report of “a person down” on the morning of her passing, and emergency services transported her to a local hospital. A close friend mentioned that her health had been declining, saying it was tough to watch her sudden withdrawal. It caught everyone off guard, especially considering her strong personality.

“In her last months, only her immediate family was around, and they chose to keep her condition private. Even many of her friends were not aware of the severity of her situation,” the friend added.
