If your New Year's resolution was to work out more often, Dick Van Dyke's workout routine might be the inspiration you need.
The 99-year-old actor shares his secret to staying healthy wednesday episode of the podcast “Where Everyone Knows Your Name.” Van Dyke explained his dedication to fitness and told hosts Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen he has no plans to slow down.
“When you think about it…if you go back to 1925, I'm almost 100 years old. This is insane,” Van Dyke said. “Well, someone said, 'What do you blame for your age and physical condition?'” And I said, “I've always worked out.”
He wasn't kidding. “I still go to the gym three days a week,” he said. “Three days a week.”
Danson also admitted to witnessing Van Dyke's fitness routine at a gym near his home in Malibu.
“If you arrive early enough, you'll literally see me training on the weight machines,” Danson said on the podcast.
“And I didn't walk from one machine to the next, I danced, as if I was doing circuit training,” he said.

Danson said with a laugh. “You literally danced to the next machine. I've been watching it for weeks.”
Van Dyke's wife, Arlene Silver, agreed: “He still does that!” (Related: Dick Van Dyke digs his heels into the ground and refuses to leave fire-ravaged area)
