Broadcast legend Dick Vitale returned to broadcast duties on Saturday and met a loud roar from Clemson fans at Little John Coliseum.
Vitale, who hasn't called the game in nearly two years, has returned to television for Clemson's home game with the second Duke.
The Hall of Fame broadcaster has been on hiatus since 2023 as he is battling four different types of cancer.

“I can't believe I'm going to call a game,” Vitale said in a message. “Thank you for all my colleagues, every message, every prayer.”

Vitale, 85, announced on January 8 that he was cancer-free, in addition to six months of chemotherapy and 65 radiation therapy.
His recent surgery was in the summer of 2024, following cancerous lymph nodes on his neck.
Vitale's return will take place 22 months after the game assigned to international broadcasting of UCONN vs. San Diego State Title Game on April 3, 2023.
He has been an ESPN broadcaster since the 1979-80 season and has called over 1,000 games during his illustrious career.
He was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008 with Nicemith for his work behind Mike.
Vitale was scheduled to return to TV last month, but was delayed due to an accident at home.
