Celebrating Love on July 3rd

July 3rd is a great day for a wedding, or at least that’s what Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton seem to think. They tied the knot on this very date five years ago, and on Monday, Stefani shared a special Instagram reel to commemorate their anniversary. Fans were left a bit confused, wondering if they were genuinely celebrating their own big day or something else altogether.

In her post, Stefani referred to the anniversary as a “forever date night” with Shelton, but it caught some attention that they were in New York City. Notably, two other big names, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, were hosting a massive wedding there.

Stefani, 56, and Shelton, 50, dressed to impress for the occasion. Stefani wore a chic pink dress by Yara Shoemaker, while Shelton sported a classic tuxedo. A glimpse of the New York skyline was visible outside their window, and a garment bag in their closet had a tag that read “Blake NYC.” Stefani jokingly mentioned that “Blake won’t let me take any pictures of him,” yet she seemed to have captured quite a few moments of him during the day and afterwards, before wrapping up the evening.

It didn’t go unnoticed by fans that the couple was in NYC on their anniversary. Comments rolled in, such as, “Looks like you all went to a certain wedding,” and another queried, “Did you go to a wedding on your wedding anniversary?”

Reflecting on their relationship, Stefani and Shelton first met as coaches on “The Voice” and began dating in 2015. They married in 2021, coinciding with Swift and Kelce’s wedding, though their celebrations were quite different. The duo opted for a more intimate ceremony at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch, while Swift and Kelce had a lavish event at Madison Square Garden.

On their actual anniversary, Stefani posted a collection of wedding photos, captioning it “5 years of eternal marriage.” Shelton also shared wedding images with a heartfelt message, stating, “5 years, every day is better than the last…I love you, @GwenStefani. Happy birthday, my sweet girl!”
