Milo Yiannopoulos, known for his provocative conservative stance, has been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Laura Loomer, who has often been vocal against him, wasted no time in claiming credit for highlighting Yiannopoulos’s immigration status soon after the news emerged about his detention in New Orleans, Louisiana. His immigration status became a point of contention, especially after he began criticizing President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clarified that Yiannopoulos entered the U.S. legally on May 14, 2019. However, it stated that he “chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws.”
He was apprehended on a Friday, coinciding with a scheduled performance by Ye, previously known as Kanye West, in the same city.
DHS made a statement on X, mentioning that being in detention is voluntary. They urged all illegal immigrants to utilize the CBP Home App for a smoother departure process. The U.S. is reportedly offering $3,000 and a complimentary flight for those who opt for self-deportation.
“We encourage every person here illegally to take advantage of this offer and reserve the chance to come back to the U.S. the right legal way to live the American dream. If not, you will be arrested and deported without a chance to return,” the post further emphasized.

Loomer, in a post on X, confidently asserted that she was the first to expose Yiannopoulos’s illegal status, accusing him of inciting violence against Trump and noting his association with Marjorie Taylor Greene.
“Milo is going to be deported back to the UK where he can live among the Muslims he has recently chosen to embrace,” she added.
She then shifted focus, calling on Attorney General Todd Blanche to investigate Greene, highlighting the connections between them, as Yiannopoulos had interned in her congressional office.
The Daily Caller was unable to get a comment from Yiannopoulos.
