Diddy Sentenced to 50 Months in Prison

Sean “Diddy” Combs marked his 56th birthday in a stark contrast to his previous celebrations—this time, he was behind bars. After receiving a 50-month sentence for federal sex crimes, he’s currently incarcerated at Fort Dix.

The music mogul’s extravagant partying days are now behind him. On November 4th, the day of his birthday, he faced a standard prison meal rather than the usual celebrations.

O.J. Simpson, an attorney, described Diddy’s actions leading up to the sentencing as “stupid and arrogant.”

At Fort Dix, breakfast starts around 6:30 a.m. and includes options like bran flakes or jelly-filled bread, which seems quite mundane for a superstar. He would’ve had lunch options like a chickpea burger or chicken parmesan. Dinner choices were either cheese pizza or navy beans, paired with sides like green beans and salad.

Reports suggest that he celebrated similarly during his last birthday at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn the previous year, with breakfast consisting of fruit and cereal and a lunch menu featuring pasta.

Diddy faces the consequences of his actions after being sentenced on October 3 for federal prostitution charges. The judge also mandated five years of supervised release, along with a $500,000 fine. His lengthy trial concluded on July 2, resulting in a conviction of two counts of transportation for prostitution, although he was acquitted of more severe charges such as sex trafficking.

After the sentencing, Diddy expressed profound regret, saying, “I was out of control. I needed help and I wasn’t getting it.” He acknowledged the negative impact his decisions have had on his life, noting the loss of his freedom, business, career, and self-respect. He apologized sincerely to his children and reflected on the reality of his situation.
