Dillon Brooks Seeks Restraining Order Against Ex-Partner

NBA player Dillon Brooks, known for his unpredictable nature on the court, has reportedly filed for a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend. This comes shortly after he was traded to the Phoenix Suns.

According to reports, Brooks submitted the order in Los Angeles, alleging harassment and threats from the mother of his two children. A message she purportedly sent him included a warning about cutting off his fingers, followed by contentious remarks that referenced racism—something that, well, I think is a rather odd direction to take in a heated exchange.

Brooks claims he first met Heather Andrews at a club in Las Vegas back in 2018, and has alleged that harassment began while she was pregnant with their first child. He describes enduring “emotionally abusive” messages, and it appears their private disputes have also made their way into public settings, painting him in a negative light.

He noted that Andrews referenced various personal and professional ways in which she could hurt him. That sounds pretty intense, doesn’t it? I mean, it’s one thing to have relationship issues, but this seems to have escalated quite a bit.

Additionally, Brooks alleges that Andrews has threatened his mother and has interfered with his co-parenting account, sending messages that were alarming in nature. It’s suggested that she even tampered with his property, recalling an incident from 2022 when he lost a valuable item, and she allegedly made derogatory comments about it.

These tensions will soon be addressed in court, as both parties are set to appear before a judge in July.

Brooks, who is often seen as a controversial figure in the NBA, is now adjusting to his new role with the Suns following a significant trade involving Kevin Durant and Jalen Green. For the season, Brooks averaged 14 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, having initially launched his career with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2017.
