Disney Removes Children’s Cartoon Episode About Transgender Athletes

Disney has reportedly decided to release episodes of the children's animated series Moon girl and demon dinosaurapparently surrounding a conspiracy involving a transgender high school athlete.

Mouse House has decided not to air an episode titled “The Gatekeeper,” which features a story celebrating a boy who identifies as a girl and fights opposition to playing on his high school volleyball team.

Several creators who claimed to have worked on the episode, which was originally scheduled to air early next year, took to left-wing social media platform Blue Sky to condemn the episode's cancellation. At least two people who claimed to have worked on the episode spoke up, but both later deleted their posts, according to reports. gizmodo.

“One of the projects (episodes) I've been working on is being shelved due to which political party won the recent election,” storyboard artist Derrick Malik Johnson wrote before deleting the message. I wrote. “It breaks my heart to know how shocking and wonderful this is.” [episode] It is now considered a lost media episode. ”

Another person who claimed to have worked on the episode lamented the loss of the episode in a thread on Reddit (which has since been deleted): [sic] You can understand what the theme is, down to the details of the characters. [the episode was based on] And why was it canned? ”

Supporters and people behind the scenes attempted to post portions of the episode on various platforms, but most were removed by Disney, which launched a copyright strike, Gizmodo added.

According to reports, the story will revolve around a transgender character, Brooklyn, who tells other characters about being forced to play on an all-boys team at school. Brooklyn then joins the girls' volleyball team, and the episode's villain uses a magical device to trap Brooklyn and the other characters in the school's locker room, preventing Brooklyn from playing with the girls. This episode sees our heroes battle an evil coach who hates transgender people and his magical weapon.

Disney hasn't made any statement about shelving the episode, but the entertainment giant, which has historically been not only hyper-woke, but combative, when an episode is tossed due to pro-trans content It will reveal a completely new direction. So.

In 2022, Disney infamously launched its “Don't Say Gay” campaign after critics falsely claimed that a state education bill would force teachers and schools to refrain from teaching or even mentioning gay and transgender people. was fighting against a bill that was labeled as disingenuous.

Nowhere in Florida's Parental Rights in Education law does it say that a teacher “can't tell you they're gay.” This law prohibits teaching inappropriate sexual content to students under the age of 10. However, this does not mean that topics about homosexuals and transgender people are prohibited for older students.

But Disney felt it had a role to play in opposing the bill as it passed through the Florida Legislature, and pledged to spend millions of dollars to defeat the bill. They failed, and after they failed, then-Disney CEO Bob Chapek crouched down in front of LGBTQ activists and apologized for not being able to stop the bill from becoming law.

But that's just one example of Disney's militant support for the LGBTQ agenda. The company received wave after wave of criticism for intentionally cramming a gay agenda into all of its children's entertainment products. Despite the company's strong support for gay content, customers became less enthusiastic about the plan, and once LGBTQ plots, characters, and themes began to flow into programming, Disney's popular movies and TV shows Viewer ratings and revenue began to plummet.

Eventually, Disney began losing millions of dollars on TV shows and movies as fans turned their backs on the House of Mouse.

After returning to his role leading the company, CEO Bob Iger most recently promised to steer Disney back toward “entertainment” and away from its controversial “woke agenda.”

“While we have always believed that we have a responsibility to do good in the world, we know that our job is not to promote any agenda.” said The employees were laid off in April, Business Insider reported at the time.
