(KTLA) – disneyland’s Theme park officials announced Monday that the Critter Country area will be temporarily closed starting May 1 as officials work to review the two retail stores.
“Add another stop to your trip to the bayou as two reimagined retail stores inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Princess and the Frog are coming to the Disneyland Resort. please.” Disney Park Blog reported.
The left side of Briar Patch and Pooh Corner will be transformed into Ray’s Beret and Lewis Critter Club, respectively.
Ray’s Berets will sell items such as hats, apparel, accessories, toys, and more themed around Firefly Raymond and his “firefly friends.” According to the Disney Parks Blog, Louis’ Critter Club will sell apparel, accessories, home decor and other items themed around Princess Tiana and other creatures.
Disneyland officials said the treat side of Pooh Corner will continue to sell popular treats such as Hundred Acre Wood products and Tigger Tales.
The announcement was made as staff continued their work. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, formerly known as Splash Mountain. The reimagined attraction is scheduled to open at Disneyland in Florida and Walt Disney World later this year.
“Our team has worked hard to bring Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to life and continues to invest in improvements throughout the walkway and surrounding areas to ensure our guests have a great experience when the attraction opens.”Disney Parks says the blog.
The story of “Tiana’s Bayou Adventures” picks up where the 2009 animated film left off.
“Walt Disney Imagineering is creating the next chapter of an original story for Tiana. Guests lining up for the attraction will learn how she grows her business with her employee-owned cooperative, Tiana’s Foods. You’ll find yourself continuing.” Disney Park Blog published last year.
“Tiana combined her talents with those of the local community to transform an aging salt mine and build a beloved brand.”
In addition to new rides and retail stores, Princess Tiana fans can dine at: Tiana’s palace Shop at the restaurant your character fought to open in the cartoon or Eudora’s Chic Boutique at Disneyland.
This ride opens in the summer at Walt Disney World. A specific opening date for the Disneyland version of the ride has not been announced.
