The stitch, blue, pointy, pug-like creatures from Disney's “Lilo & Stitch” franchise are becoming the most popular toy of the year.
North America's largest toy trade show will begin on March 1st at Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. According to the insider, hundreds of toy makers will show big bets for upcoming seasons, including those involved with zip strings, dinosaurs and dragons.
But this year, to an amazing degree, they will show off their stitched merchandise. According to industry experts, the assortment will only grow in the coming months ahead of the Disney anniversary release of the live-action/CGI remake of the original “Lilo & Stitch” film in 2002.
“Stitch appears everywhere, everything, including collectible phones, game controller holders and SLIMEs,” said James Zahn of Toy Book Editor-in-Chief. “Expect to see stitches and friends throughout the Javits center.”

According to Zahn, another “toy to look at” is Loop LabA digital stage that comes with ornaments of drummers, guitarists and vocalists who create and mix music. Loops Lab is app-based, but screen-free and comes out from Tel Aviv.
