Disorder, conflicts, and claims of election fraud in LA

A political activist and his crew, on a mission to reveal misconduct in Los Angeles, found themselves in a chaotic and violent situation, caught on video.

James O’Keefe, who founded Project Veritas, approached two individuals on Skid Row, accusing them of voter fraud.

While O’Keefe has conducted various investigations in the city, this particular attempt escalated quickly. Reports indicate that his cameraman was struck in the face and neck, and some members of the team were pepper sprayed, leading to a frantic retreat.

“My team and I, including Cam Higbee, experienced a violent assault on Skid Row. Our cameraman was punched, pepper sprayed, and, fortunately, we managed to get away. Some members even had to run for about ten blocks to safety,” O’Keefe shared on social media.

“We were right in the middle of Skid Row, where my team filmed petitioners illegally exchanging drugs for ballot signatures. Please share the video to spread awareness about this issue,” he added.

Earlier in the week, O’Keefe posted a video showing him disguised as a homeless individual, witnessing people signing petitions and receiving cash—an illegal practice in California.

In the video, petitioners can be overheard discussing payments per signature and the potential use of false addresses, with some offering cash for drugs or cigarettes in return for signatures.

The footage includes various interactions, which the group claims reflect extensive misconduct concerning the petition process.

Officials have noted the video’s content, and while federal prosecutors are aware and are taking election law violations seriously, no specific investigation has been announced yet.

Project Veritas, recognized for its undercover investigations that aim to expose wrongdoing, also released footage alleging election-related fraud. However, authorities have stated that no widespread illegal activities have been identified.
