A Mexican man living in the United States was wrongly charged with murder on Tuesday after he allegedly shot and killed another man during an argument over a jukebox song inside a Mexican restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to reports. .

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department announced that 46-year-old Cesar Esquivel Estrada has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Around 1:30 a.m. Monday, police were called to reports of a shooting at Antojitos Mexicanos Restaurant on Davie Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 54-year-old Socorro Camacho, who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has since been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bail.

Broward County jail records show Estrada also has immigration detention. Estrada is a Mexican national who entered the United States on three separate occasions at unknown dates and locations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told Fox News Digital.

Border Patrol encountered Estrada on June 15, 2005 and June 17, 2005, and in both cases he was granted voluntary repatriation and returned to Mexico that day.

At some point, Estrada re-entered the United States for a third time without admission or parole, according to ICE.
