A Texas man's distinctive tattoo led to his arrest over the Thanksgiving holiday after he was identified as a child sex abuse suspect.
On Tuesday, Christopher Lynn Driskill, 48, of Coleman, Texas, appeared before Federal Judge John R. Parker. Driskill, who was previously listed as a “most wanted” suspect by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), was charged with producing child pornography.
Leigha Simonton, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas announced Driskill's arrest came during his first court appearance on Tuesday. Driskill, previously identified only as “John Doe 49,” was the subject of an FBI investigation in connection with an ongoing child sexual exploitation case. According to the FBI, the incidents Driskill appears to have been involved in occurred after July 2024. His distinctive tattoo ultimately led to Driskill's identification on November 18th.
In July 2024, a foreign entity referred child sexual abuse material posted on the dark web to the FBI's Victim Identification Program, according to court documents. In the video, he has several distinctive tattoos, including the word “DABBY” on his chest, the number “197x” on his left bicep, the words “CAST NO STONES” on his left forearm, and the Texas state flag. An unknown man was seen. He has a head shape on his right forearm and is seen sexually assaulting a prepubescent man.
Additionally, in September 2024, Driskill's ex-boyfriend told the Coleman Texas Police Department that Driskill sexually abused a child while intoxicated and recorded him, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas. reported that he had confessed. Officers met with the unidentified child, who did not protest, and questioned Driskill. Mr Driskill denied sexually abusing the child and claimed his ex-partner was angry at him for the way they broke up.
Without additional evidence, the police department closed the investigation. A recording of the police interrogation shows Driskill's features, including a “CAST NO STONES” tattoo on his left forearm, a 1975 tattoo on his left bicep, and a section of the head-shaped Texas flag on his right forearm. The tattoo was captured.
FBI agents investigating the case discovered a public Instagram account whose profile photo resembled an image of the subject of child sexual abuse material. They traced the account to Mr. Driskill in Coleman, Texas. On November 22, FBI agents working with the Coleman Police Department learned of a previous investigation into possible sexual abuse involving Driskill. Investigators compared footage of his interview to child sexual abuse material. Court documents say the face and tattoo matched.
If convicted, Driskill could face up to 30 years in federal prison.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation Dallas Field Office conducted the investigation with assistance from the agency's Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP). Assistant U.S. Attorney Matt Tuesing is prosecuting the case.
