iowa hawkeyes star caitlin clarke became the NCAA women’s all-time leading scorer, and Francis Marion center Lauryn Taylor set an all-division all-time record with 44 rebounds against North Greenville in Division II play.

Taylor grabbed 30 defensive rebounds and 14 offensive rebounds, breaking the previous record of 40 rebounds in a game, set by Delta State’s Deborah Temple in 1983.

Taylor wasn’t just dominant on the glass, adding a career-high 34 points in the 85-62 victory.
It was Clark who turned heads in Division I.
Clark wasted no time in needing just eight points to break the scoring record set by Kelsey Plumb. michigan wolverinesset a record with a 35-foot 3-pointer just minutes into the first quarter.

Clark finished the night with a school-record 49 points as the Hawkeyes defeated Michigan, 106-89.

With the win, Iowa improves to 23-3 with four regular season games remaining before the Big Ten Tournament.
“It was a little bit of a distraction, but it was a nice distraction, you know?” Iowa head coach Lisa Bruder said. “These types of distractions are necessary for the team. But at the same time, it’s about making the team better now and going to Indiana next week, the Big Ten Tournament and NCAA tournament. ”
