DL Hughley claims the Eagles do not care about black people.

Comedian DL Hughley has expressed strong criticism toward a black Philadelphia Eagles player who visited President Trump, suggesting that such individuals show a lack of concern for issues affecting the black community.

Hughley launched an attack on Trump, labeling him a racist who undermines black history and, in his view, pushes black people toward obliteration.

The Eagles recently celebrated their Super Bowl victory with a visit to the White House. This event drew particular ire from media commentators, especially concerning Saquon Barkley’s plan to play golf with Trump prior to the visit.

During an interview with TMZ, Hughley dismissed arguments that suggest the visit was a historic occasion, asserting instead that it indirectly supports Trump’s actions against black individuals.

“I don’t see it as political. What Trump is doing to black history is both offensive and undeniable. There’s a deliberate effort to erase it,” Hughley stated.

“He’s the kind of person who acts this way and seems indifferent to the struggles that black people face.”

He continued his rant by suggesting he could easily identify those who disregard the issues within their community.

“When a black man goes to the White House, I’m always prepared to face criticism. It’s something I can sense about any black person,” he said.

Hughley went on to make a controversial claim regarding Barkley having a white girlfriend who allegedly used a racial slur, suggesting this was indicative of his indifference to black experiences.

“It’s a valid point,” he added. “I see this attitude in a lot of black athletes who engage with Trump. It feels like they’re disconnected from the reality of black people’s lives.”

In response, TMZ’s Harvey Levin challenged Hughley, noting that Trump is open to listening to others and that discussions about policy could be more beneficial than outright condemnation.

“If you’re involved in politics, you should at least try to work with him for the next four years,” Levin remarked.

Still, Hughley remained firm in his stance, asserting that Trump has shown a consistent lack of respect for black individuals, which is reflected in his associations with people like Barkley.

Recently, Barkley answered criticism by suggesting he was merely honoring the office and pointed out that he had golfed with Barack Obama, highlighting his balanced approach.

However, these remarks have only amplified the backlash, with Philadelphia sports writer Les Bowen weighing in.

“Saquon is an admirable person and an excellent player. It’s tough to label athletes with good intentions as misguided,” Bowen commented, drawing parallels to past controversies involving other black athletes.
