Shortly after the shooting of former President Trump, have you heard of the riots developing almost spontaneously across many American cities? Even though the candidate for President was hit, but not killed, anger as a reaction to the attempt set off multiple riots and the looting of stores. Whole blocks of stores were stripped of luxury goods and electronics as deplorables vented their anger. MAGA supporters saw their candidate framed by police and intelligence agencies, falsely impeached, pilloried in the media, sued, and prosecuted. Significantly, it was the attempted killing of the former President and likely next President that set off the masses. Years of “marginalization” and discrimination against white heterosexual males just could not be contained any longer.
Some mayors simply sacrificed whole sections of major cities because they realized that people had to blow off steam and have a place to loot and burn. It is widely known that looting and burning are necessary salves for social social ills. Wide-screen programmable televisions and luxury handbags are professionally recognized as a potent antidote for injustice.
If the private property and lives of those store owners were destroyed, their sacrifice was necessary to allow the emotional and political equilibrium of the community to be restored.
People worried about what role Democrats played in the attempted murder by their constant repetition of political lies. Democrats had failed to recognize Trump’s electoral success and had started a great resistance, some might say sabotage, of his time in office, starting from the very beginning of his term in 2017. Republican demagogues, that is, community activists were busy among the crowd, funded by both government grants and billionaire right-wing hedge fund moguls.
Any Democrat who happened even by accident to be in the area of the mob was beaten, some severely. The mob has to be fed something.
Senior members of the Republican Party fanned the flames, justifying the violence, suggesting it should not end, and raising bail money for the rioters. The rioters keep burning and looting saying it would continue until “justice” be given to Trump and his supporters. Calm would eventually be restored with promises of financial aid and preferential hiring for white males. Local prosecutors refused to either arrest or prosecute most of the rioters because they knew the frustration was genuine and justified.
The persecution of Trump and his supporters was “systemic” and embedded in the culture and the machinery of government. The educational establishment, tax-free foundations, media, and the entrenched political class, the FBI, the DOJ, and the CIA, all played a role in the persecution of this subclass of deplorables.
You have heard of these riots, right? It has been in all the papers and received almost non-stop breathless television coverage. There was some condemnation to be sure, but although there was a great loss of life and property, mostly because of arson, commentators knew they were “mostly peaceful” demonstrations caused by political frustration. Nothing quite clears the political air quite like the thick black smoke of burning stores.
But, of course, you never heard of such riots because none ever took place.
And, that is our point. Democrats are feeling the sting of the blowback for their endless persecution of Trump and his supporters. The frequent extreme statements now look just a tad different when some nut case actually believed what they were saying about the Hitlerian MAGA movement and the orange demon who leads it.
Now we are being told that political violence should never be tolerated…ever. Both sides need to back off. Both sides?
To this, we say, BULLLSH*TTT.
The notion that violence has never been historically useful and frequently used by Democrats is ridiculous. It is a historical fantasy. Whether it be the violence of labor unions, the Ku Klux Klan, the race riots of the 1960s, the Viet Nam War riots and protests, calls for Nuclear Freeze, the Weatherman bombing of government buildings, the BLM riots, the Antifa riots, or intimidation (and near assassination) of Supreme Court justices, they have all been projects of the Left and the Democrat Party.
Elements of the violent Weatherman became professors and close advisors to Barack Obama.
The Ku Klux Klan was founded by Democrats and for years served as its militant wing.
Over the past three generations, here is a partial list of major violent riots with political consequences:
1960s
- Watts Riots (1965): Los Angeles, California. Sparked by the arrest of a black motorist, resulting in 34 deaths and over 1,000 injuries.
- Detroit Riot (1967): Detroit, Michigan. Started after a police raid on an unlicensed bar, leading to 43 deaths and extensive property damage.
- Newark Riots (1967): Newark, New Jersey. Triggered by police beating of a black cab driver, resulting in 26 deaths and significant damage.
1970s
- Kent State Shootings (1970): Kent, Ohio. Protests against the Vietnam War that led to the National Guard shooting and killing four students.
- Jackson State Killings (1970): Jackson, Mississippi. Police opened fire on students, resulting in two deaths and many injuries.
1980s
- Miami Riots (1980): Miami, Florida. Sparked by the acquittal of four white police officers who killed a black motorcyclist, resulting in 18 deaths.
- Crown Heights Riot (1980): Brooklyn, New York. Triggered by tensions between African American and Jewish communities, leading to three deaths.
1990s
- Los Angeles Riots (1992): Los Angeles, California. Following the acquittal of police officers involved in the beating of Rodney King, resulting in 63 deaths and widespread damage.
- Cincinnati Riots (2001): Cincinnati, Ohio. Sparked by the police shooting of an unarmed black man, leading to extensive property damage.

- Ferguson Unrest (2014): Ferguson, Missouri. Sparked by the police shooting of Michael Brown, leading to significant protests and clashes.
- Baltimore Riots (2015): Baltimore, Maryland. Triggered by the death of Freddie Gray in police custody, resulting in extensive damage.
2020s
- George Floyd Protests (2020): Nationwide. Sparked by the police killing of George Floyd, leading to widespread protests and riots across multiple cities.
- Capitol Riot (2021): Washington, D.C. A violent attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump, resulting in several deaths and extensive damage.
Just in the last few months, the clear linkage between Left-wing activists and Hamas terrorists has disrupted many of our major universities.
Political violence was often used as both a threat and incentive to pass legislation and motivate political activists. For them, it has been effective. The violence of the Left seems to get a kind of special historical pass. They apparently cannot recognize their own violence and use of intimidation.
Conservatives rarely, if ever, riot. Yes, we have January the 6th riot, but either breaking in or being invited into the Capitol building and putting your feet up on Nancy Pelosi’s desk, is just not on the order of magnitude of five months of rioting over Black Lives Matter. Frankly, we still don’t know what role Democrats played in the January 6th event, either because of their refusal to deploy troops that were offered, or government agent provocateurs in the crowd. Whatever. Those rioters and those who supported them have paid a very high price. Further, it was widely condemned by Conservatives and Republican officials.
Meanwhile, Black Lives Matter was favorably mentioned in the 2020 Democrat Party platform!
Moreover, just observe the numerical tilt to the list of the riots mentioned above.
Notice also the difference in response. The full power of the Federal government was turned against the January 6 rioters and many remain in prison today never even getting a trial. Little distinction was made between those who assaulted police and destroyed property and grandmothers who just walked or were invited into the Capitol building. Everyone even remotely in the area has been charged.
Hey, remember, when rioters took over the State Capitol in Wisconsin? Was that a MAGA event?
Search your memory. Conservatives just are not very good at rioting. It is not in our temperament. It is hard to get Conservatives to a precinct committee meeting, let alone riot for months on end. When did viewers of Firing Line and followers of Ronald Reagan ever tear big chunks of major cities apart to either get legislation passed or to vent their grievances?
We agree that violence should play no part in our politics and as President Biden has said repeatedly, these differences should be determined by the “battle box”, whatever that is. Maybe if we could see a text from the teleprompter, we would know.
For those crying the loudest about political violence, we heartily suggest you both look in the mirror and read some history. The historical self-awareness of the Left is either astounding or just duplicitous in the extreme. Since the French Revolution, when has the political Left not used political violence?
When you include Europe in the tally, the number of riots promulgated by the Left is even more lopsided.
Here is some advice. The way to stop political violence is to stop constantly using it for your political means. It will stop when you stop, but virtually nothing is coming from our side.
So, here is the deal. We Conservatives will not riot, loot, intimidate justices, or burn buildings.
You Democrats agree henceforth not to do it either, and you will immediately arrest all the figures involved in the recent race riots and Antifa uprisings. Oh, and all the campus riots too. You promise to prosecute them with the same vigor you have the January 6th rioters. Further, your party leaders are expected to condemn all these movements now and forever.
Mouthing platitudes about violence won’t cut it. We expect action to stop political violence now!
Do we have a deal?
