Doctor praises president's 'remarkable health' following physical exam

Trump’s Health Update After Recent Physical

Dr. Sean Barbavera, the White House physician, stated that President Trump is “in excellent health” following his recent “semi-annual physical” at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

After completing a series of advanced imaging tests, lab tests, and health evaluations, Trump received his medical certification on Friday evening. The assessments showed that his heart is remarkably 14 years younger than his actual age, which is 79.

The president also got several vaccines, including his usual flu shot and a COVID-19 booster, as he prepares for his upcoming trip to the Middle East, according to Barbavera.

“President Trump continues to be in good overall health,” Dr. Barbavera remarked, mentioning that Trump maintains a rigorous daily schedule without restrictions. He emphasized the president’s strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance.

Barbavera noted that Trump’s blood tests were “exceptional,” showing stable metabolic, hematologic, and cardiac parameters. “These assessments were conducted alongside leading medical consultants to ensure optimal cardiovascular health,” he added.

This detailed health report comes about six months after Dr. Barbavera declared in April that Trump was “well qualified” to be commander in chief, citing his active lifestyle and his frequent successes in golf.

During that time, Trump boasted to reporters about passing a cognitive test, using the opportunity to critique former President Joe Biden, who faced scrutiny over cognitive decline when he left office. Barbavera had previously indicated that Trump scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on this test.

In July, however, Trump noticed “mild swelling” in his lower legs and was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that affects blood circulation. This issue is often seen in individuals with a sedentary lifestyle, leading to swelling as veins struggle to return blood to the heart.

Medical professionals recommend treatments such as wearing compression stockings and increasing physical activity to aid blood flow. Since his 2016 campaign, Trump has shared numerous favorable health reports from his doctors with the public.
