Dodgers Celebrate World Series Win at White House

The Los Angeles Dodgers made a special trip to the White House to mark their consecutive World Series championship wins, presenting President Donald Trump with a championship ring.

This ceremony took place in the Rose Garden on Thursday, where President Trump expressed his enthusiasm for the return of the team.

“I’m thrilled to say welcome back to the White House,” Trump remarked. “And maybe we’ll see you again next year, I hope.”

The Dodgers had also met with former President Joe Biden back in 2021 after their 2020 World Series victory and returned last April following their 2024 title win.

During their appearance, the team gathered on stage, showcasing the Commissioner’s Trophies from their recent championships.

Trump referred to the Dodgers as a “special team” with “special winners,” adding that the 2025 World Series was “among the most thrilling championships in the history of the sport.”

“This is a very special event,” he said. “Because it’s the Dodgers. And they’re world champions.”

Mark Walter, Chairman of the Dodgers, presented Trump with a personalized World Series ring during the ceremony.

“Do I have to report this?” Trump joked while displaying the ring for everyone to see. “I don’t want to report this.”

He tucked the beautiful ring into his jacket pocket before receiving a World Series jersey featuring his name and the number 47, acknowledging his position as the 47th President of the United States.

“Winning back-to-back championships is an extraordinary accomplishment, and it reflects the talent, determination, and character of everyone in the organization,” Walter stated. “Thank you for welcoming us today, Mr. President. We’re proud of that team and what it has achieved, and we hope to be back here again next year.”

“We did something that hasn’t been done in over 30 years, going back-to-back World Series champions, and we are going for a three-peat,” Dodgers Manager Dave “Doc” Roberts shared. “We’re in the middle of this season right now, the grind. So thank you. The only thing I’ll have to say is, I hope when you watch our guys play, you can be proud and say these guys do things the right way.”

After the ceremony, Trump invited the team to the Oval Office, where he was photographed with Shohei Ohtani, referring to him as an “international legend.”
