The Department of Education released the results for Maine after the state failed to meet the Title IX compliance deadline on Friday.
In a “final warning” letter to Maine in early April, the ED continues its April 11th deadline.

The state accused the federal agency of not conducting its own investigation, not notifying the state, or reporting its findings to Congress.
Maine also argued that schools and other facilities “have no way to get funding” to support their children.
Maine has supported male athletes in female sports in recent history. This led to the male athlete finishing first in the women’s pole vault competition and topped the podium in the state championships at the Scandinavian skiing of girls’ high schools.
The Main Principals Association supported both outcomes and said it would not comply with the president’s executive order.
