Does cloud seeding cause hurricanes?

Can the government control the weather?

Well, the answer isn't no, but it's also not a complete yes.

Peter Gietl, editor-in-chief of Return, is well aware that weather-altering systems like cloud seeding “sound like some kind of crazy Alex Jones-level conspiracy,” but that's not really the case. do not have.

Cloud seeding was invented in the 1940s by Kurt Vonnegut's brother, Bernard Vonnegut, and the technique was reportedly used by the U.S. government in an attempt to increase Vietnam's monsoon.

“So the technology itself has actually been around for a while,” Gietl told Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson on “Blaze News Tonight.”

“Rather than controlling the weather, it's more like making the weather worse, or making it a little bit worse. So they shoot silver iodine and other particles into the air, and they basically take the rain out of it. We're trying to get it to rain, so that could lead to more storms and more rainfall,” Geetl explained.

“We saw it in Dubai. It can cause flooding,” he says. “We know very little about the long-term effects of what it might cause, what effects it might have on the environment, and whether we should try to control and influence the weather. I don’t understand.”

It's important to be skeptical about who this technology ends up in and how it's being used, and many Americans believe their government is using this technology against them. I'm starting to suspect that they're using it as a way of doing things.

“A lot of people on the internet and other places are looking at these hurricanes and saying, 'I don't trust the government anymore, I don't trust any institutions anymore, is someone playing God here?' “I'm thinking about it,” Peterson said.

“We don't really see any evidence that these hurricanes were manipulated or amplified by this technology. I think it would be very difficult to even try to direct the storms in a particular direction,” Gietl said. “Theoretically, it is possible to make the storm worse, but at this point there is no direct evidence that there was any manipulation of these two hurricanes.”
