Daisy had a wild day in the car.
An adorable dog named Daisy somehow got her head stuck in the middle of a wheel and had to be rescued by New Jersey firefighters.
“Daisy was found stuck in a tire rim at home,” the Franklinville Fire Department said of Thursday’s bizarre call, but how did the four-legged furball get there? He did not explain exactly what it was.
The poor lab was delicately wet during rescue efforts, but “initial efforts to free her with soap and water were unsuccessful,” fire officials said.
The volunteer group said the dog was eventually freed by Lt. Brandon Volpe, who “used a personal plasma cutter to free Daisy from the rim,” and once freed, Daisy smiled again. He said he showed it to him.
“Daisy is fine and unharmed!” the station said triumphantly.
Photos from the scene show several volunteers holding the tire and wheel rim firmly on the ground while Volpe carefully removed the daisy using a plasma cutter.
Photos show that about a third of the edges had been cut away to give the dog enough room to wiggle out.
“Daisy is fine and has no injuries!” the department said.
