DOGE Cancels NIH Grants for Transgender Experiments on Animals

This week, Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced the cancellation of several National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants directed at transgender experiments in animals.

In a speech by President Donald Trump on Tuesday, he laid out various Doge discoveries and read some of the ways in which the US government wasted US taxpayer dollars. It included grants for transgender experiments on animals.

“…$8 million to make mice transgender,” Trump said.

On Wednesday, Doge followed up and announced the cancellation of grants for such experiments

“Yesterday, @NIH cancelled seven grants for transgender experiments in animals,” Doge announced, saying one of the grants is $532,000 to “exploring the effectiveness of cross-sex testosterone treatments using a mouse model.” The other was $33,000 to test “feminization hormone therapy in male rats.”

The Taxpayer Watchdog White Coat Waste Project, which discovered these cruel experiments, celebrated the news.

“President Trump, Elon Musk and Doge praise President Trump, Elon Musk and Doge for cutting millions of spending on animal experiments for transgender animals exposed by investigating how FAUCI, NIH and other federal agencies waste $4 billion, infiltrating and invading love animals into invasive surveillance and invading transdarsions. Anthony Berotti, president and founder of the White Court Waste Project, said in a statement.

“Taxpayers and pet owners of both parties should not be forced to pay for these unpleasant animal tests. Thanks to our investigation and doge, they don't need to do so,” he added.

Earlier this year, the House Oversight Committee confirmed that $241 million was spent on transgender animal testing, and Justin Goodman, senior vice president of advocacy and public policy for the White Court Waste Project, told lawmakers it was just the “floor” of such research.

As reported by Breitbart News:

He highlighted a $1.1 million grant to give testosterone to testosterone to overdose testosterone, “to mimic the animals taking testosterone – female animals taking testosterone, mimic transgender male humans, and to see if they are taking testosterone, then testosterone, and to overdose testosterone.

Goodman added that navigating the federal database to discover this study is extremely difficult.

“To find something like this, you essentially need an information technology degree to navigate through the federal spending database,” he said.

clock:

Doge has it keep The latest available data shows that so far is $105 billion, or $652.17 per taxpayer.
