Department of Justice Releases Epstein Documents
On Friday, the U.S. Department of Justice unveiled over three million documents linked to investigations into human trafficking and child sexual offenses. Among the materials were email exchanges involving Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Tisch, co-owner of the New York Giants. This was initially reported by The Athletic.
Notably, some of the discussions between Tisch and Epstein touch on topics related to women.
One email conversation from April 2013 revealed an exchange where Tisch mentions a “very sweet girl” who is a friend of Epstein’s assistant and asks if Epstein knows anything about her. Epstein responds with a rather cryptic message about getting more information, referencing specific physical attributes and indicating he is happy to form a connection based on shared interests.
- Tisch: “Hello, Jeffrey. I just had lunch with a very sweet girl who is a friend of your assistant. Do you know anything about her?”
- Epstein: “No, but I’ll ask you. Get all information. Great a–fake tit girlfriend is a short term character and has an older boyfriend who goes to drama school…? I am happy to welcome you as a new friend, but with clearly common interests.”
- Tisch: “Thank you, Jeffrey. I’ll contact you… Professional or civilian?”
- Epstein: “I don’t like recording these conversations, so please send me a number to call.”
- Tisch: “310-779-8969”
- Epstein: “I reached out. She is not on this trip.”
- Tisch: “Thank you.”
- Epstein: “Report now. Good job. She wants to go to the play—she’s a little surprised by the age difference, but go slowly. I’ll try to stop her from crying and try to convince her not to go back to Ukraine.”
Another email exchange from June 2013 illustrates a casual conversation where Epstein invites Tisch to his island, suggesting Tisch ask if there’s anyone he wants to meet in New York.
- Epstein: “So, we’ll be back on the island around 11 p.m. Then you can come to the island.”
- Tisch: “Hope to catch up. Is there anyone you’d like to meet in New York? I’ll be there on Thursday, thanks.”
- Epstein: “Emily.”
- Tisch: “Who is Emily?”
- Epstein: “Tahitians mainly speak exotic French.”
- Tisch: “Do you have any photos?”
- Tisch: “A working girl?”
- Epstein: “No.”
The Giants and the NFL have been contacted for their comments regarding these revelations.
Tisch’s family owns around 45% of the Giants. He officially took control of the team in 2005 after his father had invested in a majority stake in 1991.
Epstein tragically died in his jail cell in Manhattan on August 10, 2019, which was ruled a suicide. He was facing up to 45 years in prison for offenses linked to the trafficking of minors.
