Dolly Parton’s Nephew Accused of Extortion
Bryan Seaver, Dolly Parton’s nephew, is facing allegations of trying to extort the estate of the late singer, claiming to have connections as an international arms dealer.
Seaver was the one to announce Parton’s passing, but soon found himself under scrutiny. Reports indicated that he was making threats of violence and using his military experience to intimidate others, all while trying to extract money from the estate.
His position as head of security was cut short after a disagreement with Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, as reported by People.
Recent court documents from Tennessee suggest that Seaver’s interactions with Nozell were intended to create fear and chaos for his own financial benefit.
He allegedly sent chilling threats, including an email to an entertainment lawyer on September 3, boasting about selling $27 million worth of ammunition to the Haitian police. It appears Seaver claimed, “I’m literally an international arms dealer and mercenary.”
The legal documents describe Seaver as having made threats of ongoing retaliation, reportedly telling Nozell, “I am vengeance for my people for the next 50 years. I have no debt. I only own swords and guns.”
In another statement, Seaver noted that his children have three houses to live in permanently, asserting that his wife owns everything, and lamented, “All I have is animosity and memory. But I’m going to spend the next time I have on earth ratfucking anyone that has ever betrayed my family.”
In the court filing, She’s Alive, LLC, which manages Parton’s estate, alleged that Seaver attempted to extract money from the LLC and Parton’s trusts through an increasingly aggressive series of threats.
Seaver has described the temporary restraining order issued against him as “spurious, and simply a publicity stunt,” according to ABC News.
Dolly Parton’s sister, Freida, released a statement in support of Seaver on September 23, emphasizing that there is no conflict over Dolly’s estate among the family. She expressed, “We all love Bryan, just as we all love each other.”
