Dolly Parton's Sister Requests Prayers While the Country Star Deals with Health Problems

Frida Parton Calls for Prayers for Dolly Parton

Frida Parton, Dolly Parton’s younger sister, reached out to fans asking them to pray after Dolly postponed a concert in her Las Vegas residency due to health concerns.

In a recent Facebook post, Frida expressed her feelings: “Last night, I prayed for my sister Dolly all night. You all know she hasn’t been doing well lately. I really believe in the power of prayer, so I wanted to ask everyone who loves her to join me in prayer. She is strong and loved. And with all the prayers coming in for her, I know in my heart she will be okay. God-speed, my beloved Dolly! We all love you!”

Dolly announced on social media that she needed to postpone her concert after sharing some personal health updates. “Unfortunately, I want to be clear that future concerts in Las Vegas need to be postponed,” she stated. “As you may be aware, I have some health issues, and my doctors have advised me to seek treatment.”

She added with a touch of humor, “I joked with them that seeing a plastic surgeon isn’t always the case, but it seems it’s time for a little medical checkup.” Dolly acknowledged that, given her current situation, she wouldn’t be able to rehearse adequately for the shows that her fans expect and deserve. “You’re spending a lot to see my performance, and I want to ensure I’m at my best for you.”

Despite the challenges, Dolly assured her fans that she wouldn’t stop performing as long as she has the strength. “God is telling me to slow down for now so I can prepare for the bigger adventures ahead with all of you. I love you and appreciate your understanding,” she concluded.

This announcement came shortly after she missed the opening of Dollywood’s new roller coaster, where she had a video message for park-goers: “Hello, Dollywood! It’s me. I know you’re probably wondering why I’m not there. Well, there was a bit of a problem.”
