Dolphin Tale Actress Cozi Zuehlsdorff Finds Her Strength in Christ

Zeelsdorff has not been shy about talking about her faith online. On Instagram on December 31st postshe called 2023 “the most difficult year of my life,” but said she survived “because Jesus is good.”

“I am truly honored to walk the path God has led me to and be a part of so many moving and beautiful stories of redemption,” Zeelsdorf told Christian Headlines. “And what is the point of faith in Jesus if it does not support me through difficult times in life when the problems it represents cross my path? , it’s always a gift to be able to share that publicly. I’m known for being pretty transparent about my faith online, and I do it because that’s the point. If If you don’t look at my page, if you don’t look at my person and see Jesus, then I’ve failed. It’s important to be a light and not force it onto someone else. Just live faithfully as a child of God.”

going home It follows a team of hospice nurses who bring hope and healing to patients and families alike. In season 2, Zeelsdorf’s character finds romance.

She said the series was a natural fit for her.

“As a child, I was very attracted to older people, people around my grandparents’ age,” she said. “…But my mother was convinced that when I grew up, I would become a hospice care worker or work in a nursing home. And I liked the idea. So, of course, my life was a little different. But when I was approached about this material, I felt it made a lot of sense. It really resonated with me as a person outside of acting and the roles I play. I felt that.”

going home Creator Dan Merchant told Christian Headline that he got the idea for the series during the pandemic.

“I can’t think of a hospice nurse that I’ve ever worked with that wasn’t great and didn’t always say the right thing,” Merchant said.

He said the series led some viewers to look at their own lives.

“The audience seems to realize, ‘You don’t have to wait until you’re on your deathbed to have a conversation with someone you’ve been fighting with for five years. Deal with these old wounds and old wounds.'” How am I living? Are I making good use of this time? Are we doing what we are supposed to do? Am I doing what God has given me to do? Am I letting God use me?
