During Sunday's game between the Miami Dolphins and the Houston Texans, wide receiver Grant DuBose was hit by a bad ball, had his jersey and pads cut off, had his facemask and helmet removed, and was carried off the field on a stretcher. A frightening scene occurred.
The Dolphins receiver, who hasn't been used much this season, ran a diagonal route and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw a quick pass for a first down.
However, Texans safety Karen Brock fell while trying to break up the pass and did the job, but at the cost of hurting the receiver. DuBose collapsed on the grass, and Brock clearly knew something was wrong.

The game had to be suspended for 12 minutes as medical staff assessed the situation and made the decision to cut off DuBose's jersey and pads before placing him on a stretcher and leaving the field. All Dolphins players and staff not accompanying DuBose knelt on one knee and prayed for their teammates in a circle.
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans also hugged during the game.
